Results Live Outside Your Comfort Zone Physically & Mentally

Today at the end of my workout with my clients I was prompting them to push a little harder as we were all dripping sweat and breathing heavily.

THIS part of the workout is when changes occur. This is the part of the workout when you are absolutely exhausted; when you have pushed past your comfort zone. Where you are shaking, sweating, breathing, and improving.

When you feel like you can't go any longer, any harder, any further--push just a little bit more and that is when results occur. That is when change happens. Because if you just push until you're uncomfortable and let your foot off the gas, how are you ever supposed to improve? How are you ever supposed to get better? How are you ever supposed to get those results you want?

Pushing past your "comfort zone" is how you improve in not only fitness--but also in your life.

Think about when you have had an iconic CHANGE in your life, were you uncomfortable? Did you have to step outside of your comfort zone in order to level up? I am guessing the answer to that is YES. And although it was uncomfortable and probably at times painful, I am pretty positive you wouldn't change it for the world because something incredible came from it.

If you continue to do the same thing over and over, and expect a new result--well, you know what THAT is right?! ;) #insanity   

If you change nothing, nothing will change!

Decide today that you are going to push yourself OUTSIDE of your comfort zone. When you feel like you can't go any longer in your workout--do 3 more reps/10 more seconds/5 more lbs. When you feel like giving up on something important to you in your personal life because you are worn out and exhausted--reconsider. Do a little extra. Go the extra mile.

You'll be glad that you did.
